Who we are

The Frame Finder ("we", "us") is an independent camera recommendation website accessible at theframefinder.com. We are committed to protecting your personal data and operating in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we collect

We collect anonymous analytics data through Vercel Analytics — this includes page views, session duration, and navigation paths. No personally identifiable information (name, email, IP address) is stored by our analytics system. We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or user identification. We do not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other third-party advertising trackers.

Quiz data

When you complete the camera quiz, your answers (shooting style, budget, experience level) are used only to generate your recommendation in that session. Quiz answers are sent to Vercel Analytics as anonymous custom events to help us improve the recommendation engine. No data is linked to your identity.

Affiliate links and third parties

When you click a link to Amazon (amazon.de or amazon.com), you are leaving our site. Amazon's privacy policy and cookie practices apply once you arrive on their platform. We do not share your data with Amazon beyond what is implicit in a standard referral link.

Google Ads

We use Google Ads (conversion tracking tag AW-18125966249) to measure the effectiveness of any paid campaigns. This tag may set cookies on your device if you arrive via a Google ad. You can opt out of Google Ads personalisation at adssettings.google.com.

Hosting and infrastructure

The Frame Finder is hosted on Vercel. Vercel processes request logs (including IP addresses) for security and performance purposes. These logs are retained for a short period and are not accessible to us in identifiable form. See Vercel's privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, and port your personal data. Since we do not store personally identifiable information, there is typically no personal data to provide or delete. If you have a query, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
